About Us
Isolated from the outside world due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, I tried every possible hobby you can think of. I’ve tried baking, painting, sewing, planting, etc. But the only one that I absolutely loved and brought peace to me was candle making. After multiple trials and errors, I have finally perfected my candles with the perfect wax and organic essential oils. My Aromatherapy Collection was my very first candle collection with only 3 scents. After sharing with friends and families, they loved my candles and offered to pay for more! That is when “Calm Minds” was born! I started my online store and started networking through social media. Before my online store's grand opening, I had sold out on all 3 scents!! My candles were selling like hot cakes between May 2020 and October 2020 because of my consistency and love for my craft. In October 2020, I decided to take a break from my business and I am so glad I did. I came back to my business with a better mind set, a better business plan and most importantly, a business name that means so much more to me; JL Candle Company! I am proud of how far I have come along with my candles and I am truly grateful for every candle purchased by my customers. I can only wish that when you purchase yours, you will love them too!
